The pictures show some light staining on the IHS - this is from when I used liquid metal TIM briefly before switching back to conventional thermal paste. Liquid metal is known to stain the heatspreader material but does not impact performance. This staining is cosmetic only. Purchased new November 2022. Cooled with a high-end water cooling loop for gaming purposes. This chip ran stably for me at -30mV across all cores, but as always with any CPU tuning your mileage may vary. Does not come with a cooler, as the 7900X was never sold with one from AMD.
